Nicola and Inge are the best friends and inner west locals who co-own Sedonia.

“Sedonia is the place where we sell the things that we love to see, touch, wear and buy ourselves. There is nothing in the shop we don’t adore!”

LoveLuvo is an environmentally conscious social enterprise stocking eco-friendly beauty products for you and sustainable gifts for your home.

It was established in 2011 to offer sustainable, paid employment for people who might otherwise experience barriers to finding a job and to help them build skills and confidence.

The shelves are filled with soaps, beauty products, gifts and homewares that are either made in-house or are sourced from other ethical, local, and environmentally friendly brands.

11. Entangled Studio

Step into Entangled Studio for your fill of the forest.

Entangled started out in 2019 with Jenny and Burt Murdoch making and selling plants wrapped in moss balls (kokedamas) at local markets and a few retail stores.

In 2021, their vision expanded to opening their first store in West Footscray.

Inside the plant studio, as well as the plethora of greenery, you will find locally made products and botanically inspired wares.

For a growing gift just select plants by size and then pair it with a handmade planter, hanging basket or designer pot.

For Christmas, they are collaborating with a few local makers to release special Christmas Gift Packs and are curating stocking stuffers available for the plant lovers in people’s lives.

12. Post Industrial Design

Did you know that West Footscray had its own version of the city’s famous Christmas Windows?

Post Industrial Design is a workshop, quirky retail store and cafe run by artist, sculptor and industrial designer Jos van Hulsen and his wife Mary Long.

For many years locals have been enchanted by Jos’ steampunk, handmade Christmas window display in their shopfront.
