Mabu Mabu in the heart of Yarraville Village is a Torres Strait owned and run cafe and catering business.
The ‘Mabu Mabu’ tuckshop is open for brunch Thursday-Sunday and you can enjoy their unique menu in a petite outdoor parklet on Anderson Street.
The kitchen’s emphasis is on using fresh, seasonal and Australian Indigenous ingredients to create beautiful, Instagrammable dishes.
If you’ve never tried emu kabana, kangaroo tail bourguignon or namas (a Torres Strait island dish of coconut and lime cured kingfish), this is your chance.
Just make sure you don’t miss their house damper – you can even recreate it at home with their Damper Kit!
