Pie Thief owners Aaron Donato and Scott Blomfield have a life-long love of all things pie, which led to the birth of Pie Thief in Footscray in 2019.
This tiny shop only has a few seats, so it’s great that you can now scoff your pie perched on a high table in their new outdoor parklet on Barkly Street.
The pie menu has a few familiar fillings: steak and cheese, bacon and egg, but you mustn’t miss their more unusual pairings such as the lasagne pie, Thai red chicken curry and pumpkin, tofu and vegan cheese. In fact, some of the fillings are so unexpected that it seems practically anything could fit into a pie (dan dan mian, anyone)?
And the best part is,all the pastry is made in-house.
To help wash down your pie there are milkshakes made with housemade syrups, Milo and coffee from Code Black Coffee.
